Amy HodgesAmy Hodges is from Ruston, Louisiana, home of good peaches, gumbo, and country folk. After graduating from Louisiana Tech University in 2005, Amy came to the University of Arkansas under the impression that students had a three day holiday for Mardi Gras. She is still mad about that. Amy is a Ph.D. candidate in 19th century British literature and will eventually get around to writing her dissertation. She enjoys watching Z-list celebrities on reality dating shows, shouting at the people on her television, and living vicariously through Joel McHale on The Soup.

Chloe HonumChloë grew up on the North Island of New Zealand, a gorgeous country with roughly four million people and forty million sheep. She received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College and is currently an MFA candidate in poetry at the University of Arkansas. She enjoys reading, writing, eating natural foods, and traveling.

Jacqueline JonesI have climbed a 14,000 foot mountain in Colorado at the age of 11. I have swum above a sunken ship off the coast of Bermuda at the age of 17. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I am watching nature's TV: a fire.

Jonathan LangleyJonathan is currently a Master's student and Teaching Assistant in the French Department. Hailing from Central Arkansas, he highly values the need for new culture. As an undergraduate, Jonathan majored in English here at the UofA and completed an Honors Thesis on the Western works of Cormac McCarthy. With what little freetime he has, Jonathan enjoys playing music, traveling, and cooking new types of food.

Jacob LewisJacob is a PhD Candidate and ever-more-tedious medievalist in the English department at the University of Arkansas. In addition to the requisite "liking reading and teaching" and all that, he also likes music, cooking, movies, etc., though you can keep the pina coladas and long walks. He's also an inveterate grouch, though whether or not he in fact he has a heart of gold is up for debate.[1] After years of believing that he wanted to be just like Rupert Giles, Jacob has discovered that he would much rather be like Gregory House, as it's more fun to be a genius AND give in to sarcasm.[2] __________ [1] He does. It's behind the bronzed spleen and the crystal skull. [2] Looking like Hugh Laurie would also be a bonus.

Bailey McBrideBailey Elise McBride is a sophomore from beautiful Tulsa, OK. She is pursuing a fun double major in Journalism and Anthropology with a minor in Spanish and is excited to see where those very different paths will lead her. Bailey writes for The Arkansas Traveler and is a host on Campus Crossfire on UATV. She is also a proud member of the University of Arkansas debate team. Bailey is a vegetarian and loves techno dance parties, liberalism, and taking care of her plants and lovely fish, Elliott. She agrees with Jack Handy, “I hope life isn’t a big joke, because I don’t get it.”

Rebecca MooreBecca is a pursuing her MA at the University of Arkansas. Her main (though by no means only) interest lies in Renaissance poetry. She was born and raised in Edmond, OK, just north of Oklahoma City, but has traveled to over half of the United States as well as the U.K. and Mexico. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors in English after transferring from the business program. As an English major, she is of course interested in reading and in literary criticism. Her other interests include her nieces, cooking, socializing, traveling, the show Bones, and her husky, Gambit (who makes sure that she gets her exercise). She runs on sweet tea and deeply dislikes any temperature lower than 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Austin ReidAustin is a sophomore English and Philosophy major from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. With verbal wit and English accent at the ready, Austin lives as a gentleman of leisure, dabbling in all forms of culture from Salvador Dali to Snoop Dogg. Having already accomplished his life’s goal by throwing a snowball at the Kremlin, Austin is currently reevaluating his ambitions, but would like to continue to study literature after he graduates.

Nancy RomigNancy is a PhD student in literature who just moved from central Texas where she completed her undergraduate and MA work in literature. While she loves the Lone Star State, she is glad to be in Fayetteville. Nancy enjoys tutoring writing because it will hopefully help one more generation of college students be better writers and a little less stressed out. She is a twin, once worked at Disney World, and has never met a vegetable that she didn’t like.

Catherine RothCatherine Roth grew up in Selma, Alabama, and Hope, Arkansas. The former is a land of Civil War reenactments and Civil Rights marches, the latter the birthplace of Bill Clinton and the world's largest watermelons. She is currently a junior majoring in English and Spanish with hopes of teaching abroad in the future. In her free time, she enjoys going to the farmers market, biking, reading, and watching South Park. She has also spent way too much time trying to think of something clever to put on this profile and hasn’t succeeded.

Kelly WesteenKelly came to Arkansas in August of 2005 from the winter wonderland of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where she was born and raised, making her an authentic Yooper. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English and is particularly interested in Renaissance Literature, and it is the love of reading Renaissance blackletter texts that has nearly blinded her. In the spare time she does have, Kelly enjoys spending mindless hours online and/or watching various TV shows she is too embarrassed to name here, obsessing over her cats, going nutso over motorcycle racing and racers, honing her skills as a future gourmet chef with a Ph.D. in English, skiing, and enjoying the tropical weather (well, tropical to her, anyway) here in Arkansas.

Eve WilliamsBrought up in 18 different places around the world, Eve was in for a (pleasant) shock when she arrived at the University of Arkansas last year. This place has cows. Real, live, moo-ing cows. Besides delighting in domestic bovine, Eve spends her time here pursuing an M.A. in English (originally it was Gender Studies, until she discovered it was not such a great place to meet boys) and Field Marshall status in the MMORPG World of Warcraft. She once wrote a brilliant, but critically ignored novel, and now focuses on adapting late 18th century romances into screenplays.
