ESL Tutor James Wright Returns from Malaysia
|
|
The QWC welcomes back James Wright, who spent the last seven months in rural, northeast Malaysia teaching ESL and researching traditional Malay poetry. As a grantee for the J. William Fulbright Program and the Terengganu state government, James taught at a premier high school at the edge of Taman Negara, a national park encompassing one of the oldest rainforests in the world. Though happy to be back in Fayetteville, he misses the taste of fresh coconut milk and curried chicken feet. James will again work with ESL writers here at the UA, and he will lead the QWC efforts at our Mullins Satellite.
