This is how we built the Mac-O-Lantern:

the beauty of the functional and organic pumpkin case mod is its fleeting existence. the coolest thing about this project is the fact that such an extraordinary amount of precious time was squandered on a fruitless(!) pursuit. there are better case mods out there, and there are sweeter jack-o-lanterns. we split the difference.

We started with a plain old pumpkin and a Mac mini

We drilled holes for eyes, and shrink-wrapped the speaker to keep it dry.

Now we made the logo and crammed the faux-neon into the trench.

Closer. We wrapped the purple faux-neon around the speaker and in the nose.

Since it "sees" through its Logitech eyes and "speaks" through its mouth, now we made it "breathe" through the nose with this little fan.
